I believe the best results are obtained by first carefully listening to the patient’s concerns and then designing treatment that specifically targets these objectives. There are frequently several options available that may address a specific goal and these may vary somewhat in aggressiveness, recovery time, scars and ability to achieve the desired optimum goal. It is my job to explain these options along with their strengths and weaknesses to the patient so that we can, together, arrive at a course of treatment that is effective, cost efficient and meets the patient’s expectations as much as possible.”
